DARK DREAMS

I always wanted to be free

Like the bird on that tree,

But i couldn't be on my own,

Cos all i want to do now is dream.

A dream that keeps me alive
where i could float on clouds
holding her close to me,
far away from the crowds.

I'm Stuck in a dark room,Alone
Everytime I Open my eyes,
and all I can hear is a eerie Moan
which turns into a shrill cry

As The veins crave for dope,
The bleeding heart drowns in Wine
Cos dream is the only Hope
where she can be all mine

      “We have to target the existing customers with this new product to improve and consolidate our position” Says Sam addressing his sales team in a review meeting. So lets buckle up and give our best shot and comes out of meeting room. Thinking “What a Hectic day it has been”, he leans on his chair. He checks his watch and thinks it better to leave early and catch some movie tonight.


       As he packs his stuff to leave for the day, he sees he has a got some mail. His eyes grow wider as he sees the name and his face frowns as he reads the mail. He Just reads the mail many a time and after a few minutes, He just replies to the mail and leaves for the day.

Few Hours Later...
(Sam's phone rings & He hears a Girl's voice and knows who is it...)


Girl: Hello (Plainly)
Sam: (Apprehensively) Hi
Girl: hey... (Pauses) How are you???
Sam: I am OK.... you??
Girl: Doing good...


Sam: So...??
Girl: Hmm.... How have you been?
Sam: Been doing quite fine... So You happy with your...?
Girl (Sighs): You free this weekend??
Sam: Yea.. (Pauses..) Why? You coming??
Girl: Yes... So Shall we meet for....(Pauses)
Sam: Dinner???


Girl: Where??
Sam: There is a Nice Place... (pauses) 'Blue Fox'... They make good Chinese...
Girl: But you don't like Chinese??
Sam: (Smiles) but they play nice music there...Will meet @ 7 30....
Girl: OK!!!
                 (Sam puts down the phone and just stands still)

(Few Years Back...)
(Sam was waiting at a coffee Shop)


(On the Phone)


Sam: (Angrily) Where are you?
GF: 5 minutes... Didn't get a Rick... Will be there...
Sam: Some crap you tell all the time... Come fast...
GF: OK...


After few Minutes....


GF: (Smiling) Sorry...
Sam: (Smirks) What pleasure do you get by making me wait like this???
GF: Be reasonable... What can I do if I didn't get a Rick...
Sam: Whatever....
GF: Enough of Your Gussa Now.. Lets go (tugging his hand)
       Sam just smiles....
(As they order coffee...)


Sam: When is your last day at this office??
GF: Next Wednesday and how is everything going at your office??
Sam: As usual Boss cribs saying ' I'm expecting more from u'(GF Takes his hands into hers)
GF: Hmm... ( and just looks at him)
Sam: “nothing is good enough ” for that nasty Son of a Gun”....
(GF Just rests her head on his shoulders and tugs his arms into hers)
GF: Sammy... Just quit your job...You have had enough of that khadoos boss of yours
Sam: Hmm.. (Smiles)


GF: I missed all of this...
Sam: What? (Moving his head aside)
GF: Because of Your stupid Office schedules and tours, We haven't met for so long...
Sam: (Taking her hands and gently kissing it) You missed me? ( and winks)
GF: No, I missed this talk of you cribbing your boss. (Her hands still in his)
Sam: (with a candid smile) I missed you too darl, But what to do??
GF: I'm not denying that, But still you didn't even call properly... ( tugging his hand harder)
Sam: (Smiles) OK... I'm Sorry... and (kisses her on her forehead)

At Blue Fox,
(Outside the restaurant)


Sam: Sorry late. Got stuck in the traffic.
Girl: (Smiles) So now should I be angry??
Sam: (Laughs) Still... I can't be better than you rite? (and winks)
Girl: (Hitting him on his hand) That was So rude...


(Getting into the restaurant)


Sam: Am I? You made me one... (Sarcastically)
OK,I am Hungry... Shall I order the your usual menu?
Girl: Usual Eh??? But Do You remember? (Offending Sam)
Sam: Do you bet??
Girl: On what?? ( raising her eyebrow)


Sam: Hmm.. Well... (tapping his fingers on the table)
Girl: As I am staying here for a while...
Sam: What?? (surprised) And You are telling that now...
Girl: Calm Down...(catching his wrist) Just wanted to surprise you...
So what is my usual menu?(smiling at Sam)
Sam: You start off with Sweet and Sour Soup which is just like your mood swings (looks at her and Winks)
Girl: (Staring) Just stick to the point don't elaborate...
Sam: you know I like metaphors...
Girl: You love them... I know.. Continue... (plainly)
Sam: Then you have your chilly baby corn that is... (Pauses)


Girl: I got the point... (smiles)
Sam: (Mischievously) What did you get?
GF: That You still remember me... (her hand moving towards his hand that is right across the table)
Sam: (Smiles)I do remember a lot of things about you... (Pauses)
GF: Us?
Sam: (Silent) (takes her hand into his)
